Mr. Clair and I have had many conversations over the past years in regard to his case.

All of the evidence and lack of evidence strongly and convincingly points to the innocence of Mr. Clair, especially the DNA evidence from the victim that identifies male DNA and does not match Clair’s. Even though the Orange County DA’s office has the DNA or the killer, they will not run this new evidence through the FBI data base.

Early investigative efforts on this case were substantial, however, there was not a meeting of the minds between the Criminal Attorney and the investigator. The lack of the attorney efforts to use and issue follow-up on the investigation aspect of Mr. Clair’s case turned into a disaster.

Mr. Clair was convicted of a crime even though there was nothing but exoneration evidence that existed, but was not cultivated or presented in his case. Mr. Clair became a victim of “Ineffective Assistance of Council”.

The proof that Mr. Clair was innocent was never investigated into even though Clair was represented by an attorney.

However, like many other wrongfully accused victims of the system, Mr. Clair lacks the funding to cover the cost of an investigation and expenses. This is typical in cases where the defendant is indigent.

That is why I am encouraging anyone that reads this material and is outraged to support Mr. Clair campaign to freedom. You can do this by donating to his “Defense Fund” and writing Mr. Clair and showing your support. If there is anything that you can do, try to see if you can coordinate it with Mr. Clair.
