KENNETH CLAIR
Clair was convicted in 1984 of murdering Linda Rodgers in Santa Ana, Ca. A child witness to the murder told police a white man killed his baby sitter. This child knew who Clair was and knew Clair was an African American. The jury was never told anything about this witness.

C. J. Ford Jr. discovered in 2005, unidentified fingerprints that were never tested. Also the same year, Ford discovered evidence that police reported destroyed from the crime scene. There was never any physical evidence that tied Clair to the murder scene.

For two years authorities would not cooperate to solve this case because they convicted the wrong person.
In early 2008, DNA results were revealed by the media that the unidentified DNA sample that the District Attorney had on the Rodgers case, did not match the Clair DNA sample. The District Attorney would have continued to hide these results if it was not uncovered.

There has also been obvious signs of prosecution misconduct throughout this case, both in the past and present. This case is going down in history as one of the hundreds of cases that a defendant can be cleared by DNA evidence. However the District Attorney policy insist on keeping people in custody that they wrongfully convict. The District Attorney will use DNA evidence to convict someone when it is beneficial to them, but will not use it to free a wrongfully convicted person.
