What a Glorious day this has turned out to be in the name of Jesus-something about that name Jesus is what has kept me strong and focus throughout all these years of being where I am at here at California Death Row at San Quentin Prison. I would like to thank those that stood by me throughout this struggle, those who has believed in me in my INNOCENCE the way I have believe in myself, my wife, my sister Johnnie Stokes, and the rest of my family and friends and supporters. There is no way I could have made it through the madness shouting out of me, believing and standing by my faith to this point in time without all of them who has been there for me. Most of all I would like to thank CJ Ford the outside Private Investigator I brought onto this case for his wonderful, outstanding job he has done and is still doing on my behalf. There is no way I could express the true depth of my gratitude and appreciation to him for believing in me the way he has when no one else was willing to do so. None of the chain of events would be taking place right now if not for his gallant and relentless efforts to uncover the truth.
To be told that after 23 years of this struggle to try to have this wrongful conviction overturned that there was finally a positive story (report) in the Orange County Register written about me and the wrong that has been carried out against me lead me to shout out "Thank you Heavenly Father" right before I broke down in tears of JOY and for that I would like to say thanks to O. C. Register Reporters for taking the chance to print this story of mines and yes it goes much deeper than what has been revealed so far however I am not able to make any comments about the case and the foundation of the story because of ongoing litigation. I am INNOCENCE of this crime. I DID NOT COMMIT THIS CRIME and I DID NOT have a Defense presented on my behalf back in 1987 and all I seek is to defend myself in a Court of law and have a full investigation on this case and the evidence will speak for itself.
This battle for my freedom and my life is a long way from being over with based on the language the DA office is using as they do their best to stand their ground and NOT admit that a Wrong injustice has been carried out against me and the reason the case was being confirmed from Court to Court, level to level was because of the LACK of a full investigation, the POOR quality that was done on this case and it is ashamed I sit here for a crime I DID NOT COMMIT!
I am NOT sure what case Mr. Bailey was talking about but it was NOT the CLAIR case and I wonder how much money he made by being a Court Appointed Attorney that had unknowingly made a deal with the DA not to put the eyewitness on the stand that stated it was a white man that committed this crime. As Mr. Ford continue his investigation it will be revealed that the County of Orange, the State of California has the WRONG MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR A CRIME HE HAS NOT COMMITTED!
